The Process to Create the Sage 100 Integrated Site
Well, once you've chosen Clearnine to create your site, you'll be working with a project coordinator who will be your primary contact for the duration of the project. You'll have access to the developers as needed and will always have your questions answered quickly.
The first task is to complete the design of the site. This can include applying your style choices to our basic templates or working with your in house graphic designer. We can take any designs that are created and translate to the website.
We usually begin with the basic site and apply additional features as we progress. If you find that you'd like us to add more functionality, just let us know. Sometimes it's something we can incorporate quickly and sometimes it's a great start for a future phase. You'll have access to the content management system at this point so you can start adding all of your marketing content.
This includes the installation and implementation of IN-SYNCH. During the installation, secure network connections will be established, IN-SYNCH installed, the standard UDF's we use will be added to the MAS database and data will be mapped. This also includes the initial import of the category information and item activation. ROI Consulting will handle all aspects of implementing InSynch.
No software is published without imperfections. We wish this was the case! So we thoroughly test to make sure the site is working, that information from MAS 90 is coming through correctly and orders make it to the ERP system. We'll also ask you to set aside for testing as well. You know your products and customers better than anyone and may come up with solutions for better usability.
We encourage our clients to be involved from the very beginning. Building the eCommerce site is very MAS 90/200 Sage 100 intensive. So it's very helpful if our main contact within the company is knowledgeable about the ERP system and the internal operations. We also believe the more involved you are with the process, the easier it'll be for you to maintain the system in the future.
Some of the tasks you'll be doing are:
- Creating the category tree
- Creating the content for the category pages
- Applying user defined fields to the data entry forms (your reseller can help with this)
- Populating the additonal fields we add to the item page
- Producing content for non-catalog pages
- Comprehensive Testing
- Ask Questions!
